That's where this insurance program comes in. It covers loss of pass use due to a covered injury or illness.  In addition, other valuable benefits are provided while skiing at the resort which issues your season pass. For example, if you are injured on the slopes and require evacuation -- even by helicopter -- this program covers you up to $15,000. That's important whether you have health insurance or not! In addition, Accidental Death/Dismemberment Insurance up to $10,000 is provided.
